Pensacola, Florida boy AARON CARR (Dancer) began his dance career in ballet and modern dance at the age of six. During high school, Aaron familiarized himself with NYC during summers at ABT as a national training scholar. Later on he began to realize his interest for modern dance, so he auditioned for The Juilliard School. Aaron opened up at Juilliard, exploring the world of dance and choreography with his classmates. He was an arts ambassador during the BEST of BOTH conference, a gathering of dance conservatories at the Palluca Schule in Dresden, Germany. Apart from the training and professional opportunities he was given by TJS, Aaron performed works by some of the masters of modern dance, including Taylor, Limon, Tudor, Tharp, Lubovitch, Naharin, and finally, Larry Keigwin, during the creation of RUNAWAY in 2008. Aaron was nominated for the premiere Clive Barnes Award in Dance in 2010. He first began creating with K+C in June 2009 with SIDEWALK, performed as part of Works & Process at the Guggenheim. With KEIGWIN + COMPANY, Aaron has taught at the Joffery Ballet School, as well as New York University’s summer program. Aaron's love of teaching has allowed him to also stage K+C’s MEGALOPOLIS both in Paris and at UNCSA. Aaron also joined Zvi Gotheneiner’s company ZviDance in 2010. Most recently, he is feeling called back to ballet, after assisting Mr. Keigwin create a new ballet for the Royal New Zealand Ballet.
