K+C PERFORMS AT JUNIATA COLLEGE Sept 16, 2011 7:30pm Rosenberger Auditorium, Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts. After KEIGWIN + COMPANY's hit performance of Keigwin Kabaret in 2010, the company returns, bringing more of Artistic Director Larry Keigwin's electrifying brand of contemporary dance. Pop culture fuses with high art in work performed by this thrilling company, proving why The New York Times calls Keigwin's work "a parcel of pure explosive energy." K+C looks forward to bringing Elements to Juniata Presents, a work of four suites inspired by the four building blocks of nature—air, water, earth, and fire—interpreted with K+C's signature blend of humor and athleticism and set to an eclectic range of music including classical, hip-hop, and 80s. The work examines the traditional definitions of air, water, earth, and fire and twists them into witty, paradoxical, and sublime movement theater.
